HOW WE GOT HERE

I have seen too many companion animals who through no fault of their own have no place to live, no one to love, and very little food in their bellies. For over a year I rescued, fostered and acted as adoption agent for a small colony of cats who started with a few unwanted pets.

 All of those rescues were because of one very special cat. Because of Jim, my husband and I decided we didn't want to see another cat get hit by a car or starve trying to feed a litter of kittens. We don't want to send any more abandoned hunting dogs to the pound. And we want to make sure that if you get a puppy or kitten for Christmas, or a chick or bunny for Easter that those animals will be cared for and not abandoned at the first difficulty.
