This is a page for pets so why am I doing an article titled National Boy Scouts of America Day? Well, the answer is it’s not black cat day yet. But seriously, as you may or may not know, boy scouts are really into earning badges, and I looked up the list and found a few I can really get behind. There is a Mammal Study Badge, Dog Care badge, Pets badge, and a Veterinary Medicine badge. Some of these badges take up to four months to earn. The badges require book learning and reporting along with a proficiency demonstration in the area of learning. If you have a pet and a scout in your family, they may be able to learn from each other and earn a badge while they do.
